1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet, or mobile device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, provide better user experiences, and deliver useful information to website operators.
Cookies contain a unique identifier a randomly generated string of characters that allows a website to recognize your browser when you return. Cookies cannot run programs, install software, or access files on your device. They do not carry viruses or malware.
Cookies are set either by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services that have components on that website ("third-party cookies"). Both types serve different purposes, as explained in this policy.
The term "cookies" in this policy also encompasses similar tracking technologies including web beacons, pixel tags, local storage objects, and session storage, which serve analogous functions through different technical mechanisms.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We organize cookies into four categories based on their purpose:
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as account login and session management, security protections, payment processing, and basic page navigation. Without these cookies, the services you have requested cannot be provided. These cookies cannot be disabled through our cookie preference controls, as doing so would prevent the Platform from operating.
2.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website and Platform. They collect information about which pages are visited most frequently, how much time users spend on different sections, where users arrive from, and which features generate the most engagement. This information is aggregated and anonymized it does not identify individual users. We use this data to improve the Platform's design, content, and performance. You may opt out of performance cookies without affecting core Platform functionality.
2.3 Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They remember your preferences such as saved campaign settings, preferred market views, dashboard layout choices, and language preferences so you do not need to re-enter them on each visit. They may also be used to provide services you have requested, such as live chat or interactive content. Disabling functional cookies means you may not have a personalized experience when using the Platform.
2.4 Marketing and Targeting Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver advertising relevant to your interests, measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and limit how often you see the same advertisement. They track your browsing behavior across websites to build a profile of your interests. Marketing cookies are set by us and by our advertising partners. You may opt out of marketing cookies at any time, and we will not use them if you decline consent.

4. Similar Tracking Technologies
4.1 Web Beacons and Pixel Tags
We use web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs) tiny transparent images embedded in web pages or emails to track whether you have opened an email or visited a web page. Web beacons are used in conjunction with cookies and help us measure email campaign effectiveness, confirm that pages loaded correctly, and count unique visitors. They collect limited data: your IP address, browser type, access time, and whether a particular page was accessed.
4.2 Local Storage and Session Storage
We use browser local storage and session storage to store Platform preferences and temporary application state data. Local storage persists until manually cleared; session storage is cleared when you close your browser tab. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except when you explicitly save preferences.
4.3 JavaScript Tags
Third-party analytics and measurement tools operate via JavaScript tags embedded in our pages. These scripts may set cookies, read existing cookies, transmit usage data to third-party servers, and enable third-party functionality such as live chat or analytics. JavaScript can be disabled in your browser settings, though doing so may impair Platform functionality.
4.4 Device Fingerprinting
We do not use device fingerprinting (the collection of browser and device attributes to identify users without cookies) as a primary tracking mechanism. However, some third-party services we use may employ passive fingerprinting techniques as part of fraud prevention. This use is limited to security purposes and does not inform advertising decisions.
5. Third-Party Cookies and Tracking
Our website and Platform include components from third-party services that may set their own cookies. We do not control these third-party cookies, and they are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties. Key third-party cookie setters on our site include:
- Google Analytics: Web analytics and behavior tracking. Google Privacy Policy
- Hotjar: User experience analytics and heatmapping. Hotjar Privacy Policy
- Intercom: Customer support and messaging. Intercom Privacy Policy
- Stripe: Payment processing and fraud prevention. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Meta (Facebook): Advertising measurement and retargeting. Meta Privacy Policy
- LinkedIn: B2B advertising and campaign tracking. LinkedIn Privacy Policy
- Google Ads: Search and display advertising. Google Privacy Policy
You can opt out of third-party advertising cookies at any time through the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info or through the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out at optout.networkadvertising.org.
6. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
6.1 Our Cookie Preference Center
When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner gives you the option to accept all cookies or manage your preferences. You can access the cookie preference center at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer of our website. From there you can enable or disable each category of non-essential cookies.
Note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through our preference center, as they are required for the Platform to operate.
6.2 Browser Settings
All modern browsers allow you to manage cookie settings, including blocking all cookies, blocking third-party cookies only, or deleting cookies that have already been set. The process varies by browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
You can also use private/incognito browsing mode, which does not store cookies after you close the session, though cookies active during the session may still transmit data to third parties.
6.3 Google Analytics Opt-Out
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6.4 Mobile Device Controls
On mobile devices, you can limit ad tracking through your operating system settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track")
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you prefer not to be tracked. Currently, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our website does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, you can use the other controls described in this policy to manage tracking on our site.
We support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which is recognized under the California Consumer Privacy Act. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes.
8. Cookies and Advertising
OOH My Media is an advertising technology platform. This section explains the specific way cookies intersect with our core business helping brands plan and measure out-of-home advertising campaigns.
8.1 Our Platform Is Not an Ad Network
OOH My Media does not operate an online ad network, run display advertising on publisher websites, or use cookies to track individuals across the internet for advertising purposes. The advertising we facilitate is physical, out-of-home advertising billboards, transit ads, and digital screens which does not involve cookie-based targeting of individuals.
8.2 Cookies Used in Our Own Marketing
We use marketing cookies (described in Section 3) for our own marketing activities specifically, to understand how our own marketing campaigns drive traffic to our website and to retarget website visitors with relevant advertising on other platforms such as LinkedIn and Meta. These cookies track whether you have visited our website and, in some cases, which pages you viewed, to allow us to serve relevant advertising to you on third-party platforms.
8.3 Audience Data and OOH Measurement
The audience data and campaign measurement capabilities we provide to our advertiser customers are powered by third-party location data and device mobility data collected through separate consent mechanisms by our data partners, not through cookies on our website. We do not use the cookies described in this policy to generate audience insights for OOH campaign targeting. The data flows are entirely separate.
9. Impact of Disabling Cookies
Disabling different categories of cookies has different effects on your experience:
- Strictly necessary cookies disabled: You will not be able to log into the Platform or complete bookings. Core features will be non-functional.
- Performance cookies disabled: We will have less visibility into how you use the Platform and will be less able to improve it based on usage patterns. Your experience is unaffected.
- Functional cookies disabled: Your preferences will not be saved between sessions. You will need to reconfigure settings each time you log in.
- Marketing cookies disabled: You may still see OOH My Media advertising on other platforms, but it will not be tailored based on your website visits. We will be less able to measure the effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns.
10. Cookie Policy Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we add, change, or remove cookies and tracking technologies, or as applicable laws and guidance evolve. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. For significant changes to how we use marketing or functional cookies, we will request fresh consent through the cookie consent banner.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
